Saree Hewlett –Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist - Studio Owner


Saree is UK trained and qualified as a physio from Teesside University in 1992 and worked for 4 years within the NHS for South Tees Health. She left the UK in 1996 to work overseas in the Middle East and managed the physio department of a large military teaching hospital in Saudi Arabia. She moved to Perth in 2003 to finish her Masters in Manual therapy from UWA and completed the Polestar Pilates course in 2007. She has found working with Pilates to compliment treatment techniques and greatly improves results in clients and in 2008 Core Fusion was opened.

Saree has two boys who are active in local sports and clubs and has been physio for the local rugby team where her husband still plays, and currently manages their Under 6's team. She is also a member of Mullaloo Surf Club and their Members Business Enterprise. She was a competitive artistic roller skater at International level and currently helps teach at the local club where her boys also skate.

Yvette Dawson – Physiotherapist


Yvette is part time here at Core Fusion and has a special interest in Pilates and Pilates application. She studied ballet and gymnastics in her youth and also coached. She has been an aerobics instructor and has a special interest in ante and post natal classes.

Yvette qualified as a physio in 1985 and has studied both DMA and Polestar Pilates. She runs our day time classes and has a great enthusiasm to assist clients getting the best out of their body and getting them more active. She has a keen interest in movement rehab as well as general fitness and places great importance on inner strength and stability.

Yvette has a wealth of experience and is mum to 3.

Sandy Walker – Yoga Practitioner



Sandy Walker Profile
Sandy has a Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training from the International Yoga Teachers' Association as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has been teaching yoga for ten years in fitness and yoga centres as well as corporate classes in private and government organisations. Sandy co-developed and is a trainer and assessor on WA's only government accredited Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training course. Before becoming a yoga teacher Sandy was an economist and also ran her own consulting business. She is therefore very understanding of the stresses of corporate life and has a particular interest in bringing the benefits of yoga to people in their workplace.

Outside of yoga Sandy's interests include touch rugby which she has played for more than twenty years including at national and State level, travelling, reading and enjoying the company of her husband and dogs.

Type of Yoga
Sandy teaches Hatha Yoga which is the path of Yoga emphasising purification and strengthening of the physical, mental and emotional body through physical practices like posture and breath work as well as meditation and relaxation. She is influenced by Iyengar Yoga (noted for its precision of body placement and use of yoga props such as blocks, blankets and belts) and vinyasa styles of yoga (co-ordinating postures with the breath in flowing sequences). Sandy also has a keen interest in the history and philosophy of yoga and endeavours to share the teachings of this ancient science with class participants in a manner they can apply in their everyday life.

Kylie Higgins – Massage Therapist


Massage with Kylie specialises in relaxation, remedial, aromatherapy and pregnancy massage as well as reflexology. Kylie has completed her diploma of remedial massage and reflexology and holds a certificate in aromatherapy.

Kylie enjoys working with a variety of clients but has a keen interest in working with clients who present with chronic muscle aches and pains and sports injuries. In providing these treatments Kylie works closely with Core Fusion Pilates and Physiotherapy to ensure the highest standard of service is provided.
